PICTURES UP ON 'HOW QUICKLY CLOUDS MOVE'
Behind The Scenes on ‘How Quickly Clouds Move’ - Armin Dzafic prepares to film a scene.
Just weeks after wrapping post on our debut feature, Santa Hunters, we jumped straight into production on our second film, How Quickly Clouds Move.
Shot across Brisbane and the Gold Coast in late 2024, the film came together in a whirlwind two-week shoot, driven by a tight budget and a rare cast window we couldn’t pass up. The story, originally a short written by our lead actor Armin Džafić, quickly evolved into a full-length feature. It explores themes of queer identity, memory, and the Yugoslav-Australian experience, and stars Milijana Cancar (Better Man, Of An Age), Armin Džafić, Karlo Bilić, and Slobodan Dane Andonoski.
It’s a very different film from Santa Hunters - and that’s exactly what drew us to it. It’s intimate, personal, and deeply atmospheric.
Being back in the edit suite has reminded us why we love this work, the film is already shaping into something we’re incredibly proud of. We’re looking forward to festivals and the road ahead.
