Valencia Street is the creative partnership of writer-directors Richard Jamze and Natalie Rose.
Their debut feature, Santa Hunters (2024), is an irreverent Christmas mockumentary that they wrote, directed, shot, edited, and completed nearly all 200 VFX shots alone. Yes, at one point they ended up in front of the camera. No, they donβt want to talk about it. The result is wild, heartfelt comedy with emotional turns that catch many by surprise. It premiered to a sold-out cinema in December 2024, and has been distributed worldwide.
Two weeks after wrapping, they were back on set filming their second feature, How Quickly Clouds Move. This poetic, emotionally rich story explores queer identity, memory, and the Yugoslavian-Australian experience, anchored by powerful performances from a standout cast including Milijana Cancar (Better Man, Of An Age), Armin DΕΎafiΔ, Karlo BiliΔ, and Slobodan Dane Andonoski. Currently in post-production, the film marks a tonal and stylistic shift from their debut, cementing their interest in bold, personal storytelling across genres.
Together, Richard and Natalie have built a body of work that has received national awards for excellence in arts, screened internationally at BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying festivals, and nominated for the AACTA Awards. Their films often explore family, identity, and memory through bold genre storytelling.
They are currently in production on a premium documentary series, and are developing two new feature films with international scope.
They really, really like movies.
